To celebrate the arrival of the new year, Zishi Liu performed as part of First Night Boston, one of the city’s most beloved public traditions. Held in the open air of historic Copley Square, the concert featured Paco and a full eight-piece band in a lively set that blended vintage rock and old-school pop favorites—bringing warmth, nostalgia, and energy to a bundled-up crowd under the night sky.

With tenor saxophone as his voice, Liu brought expressive solos and dynamic interplay to the mix, enhancing the ensemble’s sound with his signature blend of melodic sensitivity and rhythmic drive.
