In May 2023, Zishi Liu presented an evening of original compositions at Pickman Hall—an elegant concert venue nestled within the Longy School of Music in Cambridge. Leading an eight-piece ensemble of tenor saxophone, piano, vibraphone, cello, bass, and drums, Liu debuted a deeply personal body of work that reflected his evolving voice as a composer and storyteller.
